50 YEARS OF PAINTING

Acclaimed Australian artist, Ashleigh Manley, renowned for his dynamic original watercolour works, has been painting professionally for over 40 years.  A master watercolourist, Ashleigh has also expanded his portfolio to include hand stencilled silk screen prints, etchings as well as acrylics on canvas.

From the brilliant earthy reds of Central Australia, to reflections on the Venetian canals, Ashleigh’s inspiration is drawn from his extensive travels abroad. Since securing a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art, he has won numerous awards and held over 50 one man exhibitions in Australia and around the world.

Touring in solo exhibitions internationally, Ashleigh is painting and exhibiting with an ever increasing vibrancy and excitement.  He has developed a keen following of art collectors and investors, and in addition to exhibiting, Ashleigh also produces special commissioned works for public display as well as private collections.

Throughout his prolific career, Ashleigh has opened five galleries selling only his works as well as being guest at some of the world’s most prestigious art galleries and being artist-in-residence at Ayers Rock for the past 19 years where his annual residency is always eagerly awaited.

The move to Hervey Bay with wife Kate, in April 2013 resulted in the new gallery and studio space on the Esplanade where Ashleigh’s works continue to diversify and bring a new found excitement to the viewer.  From the shimmer of dawn over the Bay to glorious tropical sunsets, an Ashleigh Manley painting is an evocative invitation to enjoy this talented artist’s truly original and distinctive style.
